Highly Skilled Trainer!
My name is Cynthia Kirk. I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I am currently a high school athletic official for the state of Ohio (O.H.S.A.A.). I am also a certified trainer for licensure for the State of Ohio for Volleyball and Basketball. I train young athletes in various sports. The fundamental training that I provide for each sport carries the athlete to the next level of their athletic journey. I began this mentorship under the direction of Coach Jeremy Croy who is Tiffin University's Head Track and Field Coach. Along with his duties as the Head Track and Field Coach, Coach Croy manages the Heminger Athletic Complex. I chose this area to be mentored because I wanted to experience first hand, the responsibilities of organizing and maintaining an athletic complex along with coaching an athletic team. Along the way, the focus of my mentorship was detoured into a much greater responsibility. Under the direction of Dr. Bonnie Tiell, I began working on the Elite Sport & Culture Week project as Dr. Tiell's liaison. Dr. Tiell is the Professor of Sports Management at Tiffin University. The Elite Sport & Culture Week project was held in the Heminger Athletic Complex so quite naturally, I was able to provide input and direction into this project. This project worked perfectly as I utilized this opportunity to be mentored by both Coach Croy and Dr. Tiell to ensure that the Elite Sport & Culture Week was a huge success! My ultimate goal is to partner with someone and own an athletic facility in which I can train young athletes in fundamentals and conditioning. I am currently connected with an organization that hosts basketball tournaments for youth in grades 3rd through high school. |
